David Case is a chemist, environmental microbiologist, and earth scientist with a primary interest in communicating technical topics. He has teaching experience at middle school, undergraduate, and graduate levels. His research has resulted in four first-authored publications in the scientific literature, contributing to the fields of paleoceanography, carbon storage, and microbial ecology. Through his academic endeavors, David has travelled to diverse destinations such as Antarctica, Chile, Japan, China, and Barbados, as well as extensive travels within the United States.
David brings an enthusiasm for clear, effective communication of complex subject matter. In October 2016 he will join Epic Systems Corporation in their Technical Services division. He will be primarily engaged with increasing efficiency and effectiveness of Epic's software packages.
David earned his Ph.D. and M.S. in Geochemistry from the California Institute of Technology. His B.A. in Chemistry, including minors in Chinese and Climate Science, is from Washington University in St. Louis.
